At BPC Building Products, we are incredibly proud to support our dedicated employee, Kevin Burerfield, as he embarks on an inspiring journey to run the London Marathon 2025. Kevin’s motivation for this monumental challenge is deeply personal and heartwarming, as he aims to raise funds for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF), a charity that has profoundly impacted his family.

Kevin’s Story
Kevin has been striving for years to secure a place in the prestigious London Marathon, and 2025 marks the year his dream comes true. This will be his first marathon, and as part of his rigorous training, he will also be participating in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in early April.

The CHSF holds a special place in Kevin’s heart. Seventeen years ago, on March 20, 2007, Kevin’s twin daughters were born. While Carrie was perfectly healthy, Olivia was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis. Thanks to the incredible support from CHSF and the dedicated medical team at LGI Hospital, Olivia underwent a successful balloon angioplasty operation in May 2007. Although the procedure had side effects, including a stroke, the support from CHSF made a world of difference during this challenging time.

Kevin’s wife and Carrie were provided with accommodation at the hospital, allowing them to stay close to Olivia during her intensive care period. This support was invaluable, ensuring that Kevin’s family could be together and manage the situation with less stress.
